The Saline County Travel Club is a community-based organization designed to provide residents with opportunities to explore new destinations while fostering a sense of camaraderie and adventure. By offering organized trips and events, the club makes it easy for members to experience new places. The club’s membership is open to all individuals, and through group travel, members can take advantage of discounted rates, guided tours, and carefully curated itineraries that make travel both affordable and enjoyable.

In addition to regular trips, the Saline County Travel Club also serves as a platform for social connection. The club hosts meetings where members can share their travel experiences, plan future trips, and discuss tips for making the most of each trip. It’s a great way to meet new people with similar interests. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or someone who simply enjoys the idea of discovering new places, the Saline County Travel Club offers an accessible and supportive environment for all types of explorers. We plan adult/family trips. We are not travel agents, and one of the group leaders attends each trip with the group. Our little group has grown to take yearly trips and sometimes more than one a year. We usually meet monthly for information on all planned trips.

My name is Beth Mathys. I am an educator and have worked for multiple school districts in the central Arkansas area, including Little Rock School District, Benton School District, and Bauxite School District. I continued my career  in education at the Arkansas Department of Education as the School-Based Mental Health Coordinator and recently started working for Arkansas A.W.A.R.E., which is a federally funded grant project focusing on raising resiliency in education.  

I am a passionate traveler and have spent years exploring both domestic and international destinations. My adventures have taken me from the cobblestone streets of Europe to the sandy beaches of the Caribbean. Through these travels, I have cultivated a deep appreciation for different cultures, local cuisines, and diverse landscapes, which has only fueled my desire to share these experiences with others. Whether it’s hiking through national parks or wandering through the villages in Europe, my travels have always been about more than just sightseeing—they’re about connecting with people and places in meaningful ways.

Inspired by my own journeys and the desire to bring the joys of travel to others in my community, I founded the Saline County Travel Club. The club was born from my recognition that many people in the area were eager to explore the world but didn't have the resources or knowledge to do so on their own. Through the club, I provide a platform for fellow travelers to share tips, plan group trips, and learn about new destinations in an accessible way. The club is not only a source of travel inspiration but also a community where friendships are formed through shared adventures. My goal with the club is to make travel more accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone in Saline County and beyond.
